Flights between London and Leeds-Bradford Airport are to resume.
Flybe, the regional airline, has announced that it will begin servicing the route that bmi decided to abandon earlier in the year.
As reported by Cheapflights on February 20, bmi said it would cease flying from London Heathrow to the north of England airport at the end of March. The airline said a decline in demand and higher-than-inflation cost increases at Heathrow meant the routes from Leeds-Bradford had become unsustainable.

Flybe has announced that it will no longer have any of its planes based at Norwich Airport.
The airline revealed that it will be axing its Norwich to Dublin route from March 2009 and that it will be positioning its aircraft at the "other end" of existing routes around the same period.
This will mean that its daily Norwich to Edinburgh Airport service will begin in the Scottish city and not commence from the Norfolk town until 8.50am.

Flybe has been unable to significantly increase its operations at Norwich Airport due to the lure of London Stansted for local residents. According to the airline's chief operating officer, Mike Rutter, the "shadow of Stansted" is impeding Flybe's ability to win over people within the hour-and-a-half catchment area.

Flybe has increased capacity on its flights to Germany in a bid to curb the impact of a strike by Lufthansa ground and cabin crew.

Flybe has confirmed that it is expanding its interline e-ticketing network by forming a new partnership with German carrier Hahn Air.

The chief executive of low-cost carrier Flybe has reignited the debate over whether or not the British Airports Authority (BAA) should be split up to promote competition.
Speaking to Sky News, Jim French alluded to April's report by the Competition Commission which concluded that common ownership of the BAA airports "adversely affects competition" in Scotland and the south-east of England.
"The competition authority could not have been clearer in their guidance," French told the news channel. "They've said 'you have to have competition' - and we support that."

Fans of the Isle of Man TT will have an increased choice of flights between Manchester and the island after Flybe announced extra services.
The airline will add a fourth Saturday service on both May 31 and June 7, with one-way tickets starting from £18.99, and will be added to Flybe’s existing schedule of up to five flights a day.

Low-cost carrier Flybe has been named the fastest growing budget airline flying to and from Germany.
According to the latest 'Low Cost Monitor' survey issued by the German Centre for Aero and Spacetravel, Flybe has experienced a massive 392 per cent increase in flight ranking over the past 12 months.
Passengers travelling to Germany are now served by 128 weekly flights to five primary airports in Germany, and increase from just 26 flights in 2006/7.
"We're absolutely delighted to be significantly ahead of our competitors in terms of growth in Germany," said Mike Rutter, Flybe's chief commercial officer.

A new direct service between Guernsey and Dublin is to be started by Flybe, with the first flight taking off on June 7.
The three-times-a-week service will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. One-way tickets start from £29.99.

Flybe is to start a year-round, six day-a-week service to Paris Charles de Gaulle from Jersey with the first flights taking off next month.
The airline will launch the service on April 28, operating every day except Saturday, and one-way fares will start from £29.99 inclusive of taxes and charges.

Flybe has announced that it is adding extra flights to its Aberdeen to London Gatwick route.
The carrier cited "unprecedented demand" for the increased service, which will see two extra return flights added at the weekend during its summer schedule.
