There are many people in this world who inspire us to become better people; Diana, Princess of Wales, was certainly one of them. She travelled the world helping the needy and became passionately involved in her campaign against landmines in Angola and Bosnia.
Well if you’ve always wanted to follow in her footsteps then why not plan a rewarding trip to Cameroon to help at the Yaounde Deaf School or volunteer your time at Mother Teresa's Hospice for the Sick and Dying in India.

We’ve all experienced bad manners from fellow fliers. From the loud and tipsy talker to the space invader whose body spills over into your seat and the smelly food eater who brings gorgonzola sandwiches for a snack, these are the passengers who can make a flight a less than pleasurable experience.
So who are the rude fliers who can make a one-hour flight to Dublin feel as long as a flight to Darwin?
Vote now to tell us which bad-mannered flier you find most offensive.

The awards season is over. We've admired the dresses on the red carpet, applauded Helen Mirren bringing home so many awards and practised our own acceptance speeches in the mirror.
But with a major tribute in the ceremony to foreign films for the first time, and a selection of exotic locations, it seems that the real starring role was taken not by the actors but by the settings. From Blood Diamond to Volver, foreign locations have stood out.
Which movie set has piqued your interest? If you could visit the setting for just one of the films, which would it be? Would you choose the sun, sand, sea and rum of the Caribbean or a trip off the beaten track in Kazakhstan (tipped to be the next big long-weekend hot spot)?
Vote now to tell us to which film location you'd most like to travel.

It's the latest big development in flying: Ryanair has announced that it has signed a deal to introduce mobile phones on its flights from next year. New technology has been developed which means that phones' signals won't interfere with ground based networks, so soon you'll be able to phone home and let them know if you're delayed; take an important business call or just pass time chatting to your friends.
But would you welcome the chance to take your phone to the skies, or would the yak-yak-yakking of your neighbour send you crazy?

A poll conducted by Cheapflights.co.uk has revealed that the most appreciated airline freebie is a sickbag.
Airline freebies have always been a perk of flying, but developments in the travel industry, such as the introduction of low-cost airlines and cost-cutting measures of full-service carriers, have seen freebies and giveaways dwindling. Recent restrictions placed upon hand-luggage capacity have made freebies an almost essential aspect of air journeys, but it appears that that the airline freebie that UK travellers are most thankful for is a small waxed paper sick bag.

No-frills airlines are doing their best to cut down on anything gratis that you once took for granted on flights. Less on offer means lower prices. But they might just have got it wrong when they assumed that nobody wanted to eat those peanuts anyway. Recently, there has been a huge rise in popularity of all the extras with the carriers that offer them: bigger and better in-flight entertainment has been making its way into seat back TVs (Live BBC World anyone?); famous chefs are designing menus for airlines; and the once-humble in-flight mag is now a glossy you'd probably want to buy in the shops.
But which of the airline freebies do you actually want to get, and which would you be happy to leave behind? Cheapflights is conducting to poll to find out exactly which items people really want to receive on a flight.
Vote now to tell us which is your favourite airline freebie.
