bmibaby has launched a new route to Barcelona from Cardiff Airport.
The twice-weekly flights will commence on May 24, 2008, departing Cardiff on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
From June 18 this year, this will increase to three-times a week with an additional service operating on Wednesdays.

Bmibaby has announced it will start two brand new routes from Manchester Airport to Lisbon and Madrid for the coming summer.
At the same time the airline will also operate a link to Barcelona and increase the frequency of weekly flights it offers to Ireland West Knock.
The new route to Lisbon takes off on June 17 and will operate on Tuesday and Sunday, and bmibaby is the only airline flying to the Portugese capital from Manchester with one-way tickets starting from £24.99.
The service to Madrid, which again is not currently served from the airport, will operate on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday with services commencing on June 16 and fares start from £24.99 one-way.

Bmibaby has officially launched new services from Cardiff and East Midlands to the Polish capital, Warsaw, with the first flights taking off yesterday (February 10) and today.
The airline is offering three scheduled flights every week on the Cardiff to Warsaw route, with departures on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday during the winter and on Monday, Friday and Sunday as part of its summer timetable.
There are currently four weekly flights between East Midlands and Warsaw, departing on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday throughout the year.

Low-cost airline bmibaby is to begin a new service between Birmingham International Airport and the Polish capital Warsaw in early summer.
Three flights a week will start on May 27, operating Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with one-way tickets priced from £21.99.

Low-cost operator bmibaby is to start a new service between Birmingham and Madrid, providing the only service to the Spanish capital from the West Midlands.
Four flights a week will be offer, starting on December 7, and one-way tickets start from £24.99 and brings the total number of destinations served by bmibaby at Birmingham International Airport to 22.
Madrid is one of eight new destinations that bmibaby will fly to for winter 2007 from the airport with Barcelona, Faro, Glasgow, Jersey, Lisbon, Murcia and Rome Fiumicino also added to the airline's route map.

Passengers flying with bmibaby will now be able to earn frequent flyer miles through the bmi diamond club programme.
Members of the club can earn miles by travelling on bmibaby flights, bmi flights, flights with other Star Alliance member airlines (which include Swiss, Singapore Airlines and United Airlines), and those with other partners.
They can then be used on flights to more than 850 destinations available in the Star Alliance network.

Bmibaby has announced an increase in weekend flights between Birmingham International Airport and Scotland.
From September 8 flights to Edinburgh will increase to twice on Saturdays and four times on Sundays. Flights to Glasgow will increase to twice on Saturdays and three times on Sundays.
This will mean that bmibaby, the low-cost arm of bmi, will fly from Birmingham to Edinburgh 62 times per week and to Glasgow 50 times per week from September. Fares are priced from £18.99 one-way, inclusive of taxes and charges.

Bmibaby, the low-cost airline subsidiary of bmi, has revealed that it has added to its services from Cardiff International Airport.
Topping the bill is the announcement that flights will be available to Murcia from March 25 this year. The carrier will begin operating a four-times weekly service to this popular Spanish holiday resort, with prices starting at just £29.99 for one-way journeys.
Existing routes have also been enhanced, with more flights and improved journey times. The route to Palma, which currently runs four times a week, will become a daily service as part of the upgrade. The weekly service to Jersey will soon operate three times every week.

No-frills airline bmibaby will begin a new route from Birmingham to Jersey as part of an expansion drive at the West Midlands airport.
From May 24, flights will operate four times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with the frequency likely to increase to twice daily over the coming 12 months.
Prices will begin at £24.99 one-way, including taxes. This is 40 per cent lower than the current lowest lead-in price offered by a rival airline on the route, bmibaby notes.

Budget airline bmibaby is the latest to introduce a charge for checking in luggage, while at the same time increasing the weight allowance of hand baggage.
A charge of £2.50 per flight will apply for those people who check-in their bags online, for those who arrive at the airport without pre-booking online a £5 charge per item will apply.
bmibaby is to keep the allowance for checked in luggage at 20kg, and increase the hand baggage allowance from 7kg to 10kg, although a bag’s dimensions cannot exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.

As part of an expansion at the Midlands hub, bmibaby will announce new services, more flights on existing routes and the continuation of "aggressively priced" fares, starting from £13.99 one-way including extras.
Crawford Rix, the airline's managing director, said the carrier would increase the number of Boeing 737 aircraft operating from Birmingham from five to eight. "We will be introducing a number of exciting new destinations," Rix said.

Because of insufficient passenger numbers, flights from Durham Tees Valley to Cork, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Gatwick will cease as of October 29. Flights to Alicante, Malaga and Palma will end on November 6.
The airline has assured passengers that they will receive a full refund, which will be automatically credited to the original form of payment within 28 days. Those with bookings that cross the cancellation dates need to contact bmibaby direct before their date of travel in order to claim a refund.

A strike by pilots at low-cost airline bmibaby has been averted after the Balpa (British Airline Pilots Association) union reached an agreement on pay.
The action would have affected flights from the airline's hubs, which include Nottingham East Midlands and Cardiff.

Pilots at bmibaby have voted in favour of strike action but the British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA) has guaranteed that no disruption will occur over the August bank holiday.
More than seven out of ten of BALPA's pilots at the low-cost division of bmi voted for strike action, partly because of a 2.4 per cent pay rise "without any satisfactory negotiations".
BALPA may strike within the next few weeks but has reassured passengers that it does not want to make problems "at a time of great difficulty" for aviation in the UK.
