Virgin Heathrow lounge picks up award

Virgin Atlantic has won an award for its lounge at London Heathrow Airport for the third year running.

The airline picked up the Best Clubhouse accolade from V-Flyer.co.uk, a website launched by customers of Virgin's global network of travel companies.

Passengers who took part in the survey described the lounge as a "haven away from the hustle of the main terminal," and "truly the only way to start a flight".

Among the most popular improvements to the lounge was its brand new Upper Class Wing, which ensures kerbside access to the clubhouse in approximately ten minutes.

Virgin Atlantic travellers also praised the airline's selection of complimentary food and beverages as well as the full spa facilities available at Heathrow Airport.

The carrier's Las Vegas team received an additional V-Flyer.co.uk award for their professionalism, while further praise was reserved for its Heathrow, Orlando and Sydney staff.
