New jobs after Zoom expands Gatwick routes
April 22, 2008Low-cost carrier Zoom Airlines has created new jobs at London Gatwick following the expansion of routes from the airport.
More than 60 new positions have been created due to the introduction of twice-weekly services from Fort Lauderdale, starting in May, and San Diego, beginning in June.
The expansion means that Zoom is offering 33 per cent more seats on its schedule this summer than last year.
"We're very excited to be taking on new recruits to help us expand and improve the services we offer," Zoom's head of human resources, Julia Hanley, told Travel Mole.
"Zoom has continued to increase its services and routes, augmenting their transatlantic service with the introduction of flights to New York and Bermuda last year and adding flights to San Diego and Fort Lauderdale this summer."
The new jobs, which total 62 in all, include cabin crew positions, pilots, customer service agents and engineers.
