Birmingham to Warsaw link launched by bmibaby
Low-cost airline bmibaby is to begin a new service between Birmingham International Airport and the Polish capital Warsaw in early summer.
Three flights a week will start on May 27, operating Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with one-way tickets priced from £21.99.
David Hodge, commercial director at bmibaby, said: "bmibaby’s new Polish route to Warsaw from Birmingham reinforces the airlines commitment to growth and the tailoring of its route network to meet ever changing consumer needs. The UK Polish community is a modern day phenomena and the new route from Birmingham will provide valuable links for friends and family in Poland and the Midlands region.
"This new three times a week service, along with the existing four times a week service from East Midlands to Warsaw, sees bmibaby now serving the Polish capital with flights on a daily basis from the Midlands region throughout the summer."
The addition of the new route to Warsaw brings the total number of destinations bmibaby serves from Birmingham to 24, and it is the largest carrier at the airport operating more than 350 weekly flights this summer.
