Flyglobespan to launch Canada flights
Scottish airline Flyglobespan is to launch two new routes from Dublin to Canada next spring.
From May 12, the carrier will begin flying weekly from the Irish capital to Vancouver, British Columbia, and Calgary, Alberta.
The flights will cost from €356 one-way, including taxes. They will depart from Dublin on Mondays, leaving at 1.10pm and touching down in Calgary at 3pm, and in Vancouver at 4.10pm.
The return flights will be on Sundays, taking off from Vancouver at 5pm, calling at Calgary at 8.10pm, and getting back to Ireland at 11.40am the next day.
The new direct transatlantic routes will "substantially expand air travel options for potential Canadian tourists flying into Ireland and will play an important role in growing visitor numbers even further from Canada", said Jayne Shackleford of Tourism Ireland Canada.
Flyglobespan, a Scottish airline, also flies from Shannon and Knock in Ireland.
