Cadogan Holidays begins Gatwick to La Gomera flights
July 11, 2007New flights between the UK and the little-known Canary Island of La Gomera are due to begin in November.
Cadogan Holidays is to offer travel packages including direct flights with Astraeus to the island from November 6. A seven-night stay begins at £566 per person, including flights and transfers.
Flights will depart London Gatwick on Tuesday and Friday morning, returning from La Gomera on the same days.
This will remove the 20-minute catamaran transfers from Tenerife, and cut down on the usual 35-minute transfer on the island, making it more convenient for holidaymakers.
"This new route means that our customers can enjoy this delightful gem amongst the Canaries without the hassle of transfers from Tenerife," said Cadogan Holidays' John Riley.
"Guests at the Jardin Tecina [hotel] can't help but feel relaxed amongst the lush surroundings and now they can keep hold of that feeling just a little bit longer."
The Jardin Tecina boasts five swimming pools and an 18-hole golf course.
Astraeus describes La Gomera as "nature in its purest form: leafy woodlands, rugged ravines, cliffs of impossible shapes and villages that have conserved their most ancient traditions so as to offer you a different kind of holiday".
