Four new winter routes for Durham from Flyglobespan
April 24, 2007Flyglobespan will launch four new routes from Durham Tees Valley Airport this winter, to Alicante, Malaga, Palma and Lanzarote.
The Scottish airline announced the new destinations as part of its winter schedule, which also includes an increased frequency on its existing winter flights between the Durham airport and Tenerife.
To Malaga, flights will operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with prices starting at £29.99 (one-way including taxes).
To Tenerife, flights will take off twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Prices begin at £29.99. To Alicante, flights will depart twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, costing from £49.99.
To Palma, flights will operate every Saturday, with prices beginning at £29.99, and to Lanzarote flights will depart on Sundays and cost from £49.99.

Durham Tees Valley Airport’s Hugh Lang said that the new destinations would "totally transform the holiday and flight options for people in the north-east this winter".
Routes on offer from the airport this summer include Alicante, Faro, Ibiza, Malaga, Nice and Pula in Croatia.
Flyglobespan also flies from Birmingham, Doncaster/Sheffield, Exeter, Liverpool, London Stansted, Newcastle, Manchester, Belfast, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
