Ryanair releases two million seats for 99p
December 28, 2006Book by January 2: Budget airline Ryanair is spreading some festive cheer with the release of more than two million seats priced at 99p (one-way, excluding taxes and charges).
A total of 2,007,000 tickets are on sale from today (December 28) at less than £1 – "the lowest holiday fares in Europe" – for travel in the first three months of next year.
Fly from airports around the UK to a wealth of European destinations. Examples include:
- Liverpool to Barcelona (Reus), Cork, Krakow, Salzburg
- Glasgow Prestwick to Dublin, Grenoble Lyon, Wroclaw
- London Stansted to Almeria, Kerry, Seville, Stockholm (Skavsta)

The booking period runs until January 2 and travel must be completed between December 30 and March 24. Tickets must be booked at least seven days ahead of travel and the offer excludes flights on Fridays and Sundays.
The following blackout dates also apply: February 9 to February 19 (from UK only); February 16 to February 27 (from Ireland only); and March 15 to March 20 (from Ireland only).
Separately, the airline is also offering a free return flight (you pay only the extra charges) for those buying Ryanair annual travel insurance including winter sports and golf cover. The annual policy costs £39 and bookings must be made before January 31.
