Flyglobespan changes Pula flights schedule
Scotland-based airline Flyglobespan has made a change to its schedule of flights to Croatia this summer.
Instead of flying from Glasgow to Pula on Tuesdays, it will now fly on Sundays, throwing some Scottish holidaymakers' plans into disarray.
Flyglobespan is also currently operating a service from Edinburgh to Pula on Sundays. However, due to a lack of accommodation in Croatia the company is combining the two services.
Flights will now leave from Glasgow and go to Edinburgh before heading to Pula, with the change coming into effect on August 15.
Those with tickets for the Tuesday flight after that date will be offered full refunds from Flyglobespan.
The coastal city of Pula is renowned for its ancient Roman buildings, which include an amphitheatre that dates back to the first century. The Scottish carrier began flying there in May, with tickets priced from £35.99 including taxes.
A spokesman said that the flights had to be combined because "tourism infrastructure in Croatia is still in its infancy".
