Jet2.com offers route to Tenerife from Manchester
June 5, 2006
Winter sun lovers in the North West of England will be able to escape to Tenerife later this year on a new route from Jet2.com.
The airline has announced it will begin three flights a week to the island from Manchester, starting on October 31, with tickets priced from £55 one-way inclusive of taxes and charges.
Tenerife is a popular destination all year round, but during the winter months people are attracted by the warm temperatures and stunning scenery, with the now extinct snow-capped volcano in Teide National Park and natural springs at Barranco del Infierno worth exploring.
Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: “We know that people in the region love to holiday in the Canary Islands, it’s a superb destination, and the people of Manchester and the surrounding area have long been asking to fly to this sunshine hotspot.”
This route from Manchester to Tenerife joins Jet2.com’s existing network to the island from Belfast, Blackpool, Newcastle and Leeds Bradford airports.
