Jet2 a career in the skies
The allure of working in the jet set world of airlines, flights and travel overseas appears as strong as ever.
Jet2.com has launched a new careers website with the intention of taking on at least 100 new staff members, and the site saw more than 65,000 visitors on its first day of going live.
The Jet2Careers site provides information on the positions available, with details of necessary qualifications if required, and allows people to send CV details via a simple online form.
Steve Lee, of Jet2.com, said: “We now employ around 900 people and this will be in excess of 1,000 by the end of this year.
“However, this latest announcement is our biggest yet - roles include the full range of airline services, from pilot and cabin crew rostering, aircraft stores management, through to finance and personnel, plus a hugely important area for us, safety and quality systems controllers.”
In March the airline said it would be relocating its head office from Bournemouth to Leeds Bradford, highlighting the growing importance of the Yorkshire airport to the company.
