EasyJet launches Croatia link
May 3, 2006Low-cost airline easyJet has expanded its presence in Eastern Europe with the announcement of a new route from London Gatwick to Split in Croatia.
Fares on the four-times weekly service start from £30.99 one-way and the new route, which started yesterday, brings the total destinations served by easyJet from Gatwick to 39.
Split is the second largest city in Croatia and offers a great deal in the way of adventure holidays, marine sports and history.
It is also a good base from which to explore the Dalmatian coast as it is a regional hub and provides many connections to neighbouring locations.
EasyJet's marketing manager, Emma Curwood, said: "Croatia is a beautiful country and a fantastic addition to our extensive network from our Gatwick base.
“It's a destination with something for everyone, making it ideal for holidaymakers, city breakers and business passengers alike."
