SN Brussels to axe Glasgow flights
Belgian airline SN Brussels has announced it will axe all flights between Glasgow and Brussels.
The Belgian flag-carrier is pulling the daily service to free up aircraft capacity for new summer destinations.
Passengers who have already booked a ticket on the route will be offered alternative travel solutions or full refunds.
As Glaswegians lose out, Belgian tourists will gain the choice of two new holiday destinations.
The airline will use the Glaswegian aircraft for flights to Frankfurt and Nice Cote d'Azur – the final two destinations to be unveiled in its summer 2006 programme.
SN Brussels' summer schedule, which runs from April to October, is now bursting with tempting routes for sun-seekers and culture vultures alike.
It recently announced it will be adding Dubrovnik in Croatia and Genoa in Italy into the mix.
The frequency of flights to old favourites Bari and Naples in Italy and St Petersburg in Russia will also be upped in 2006.
The airline will still offer flights to the Belgian capital from Heathrow, Gatwick, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.
