Manchester to get link to Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific is to begin a service between Manchester Airport and Hong Kong from March next year.
The new route, that goes via Moscow, will operate on Monday, Thursday and Sunday and will take approximately fifteen hours.
Cathay Pacific chief executive Philip Chen said: "The addition of more Cathay Pacific services makes travelling via Hong Kong a far more attractive proposition to passengers and multiplies the airport's strength as a global hub and gateway to the Chinese Mainland."
The Manchester link will begin on March 27, 2006 and expands the airline’s presence in the UK and Europe where it operates four flights a day to London, plus services to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris Rome.
