Hertz drives off with Ryanair deal
December 14, 2005Passengers travelling with no-frills airline Ryanair can enjoy discounted car hire with Hertz for another five years.
The two have extended their close partnership until 2010 and will continue to offer car hire deals to Ryanair passengers on the airline's website.
The rental company offers special rates to Ryanair customers at all the airports the budget airline flies to.
The move will please low-cost fliers looking for a cheap and easy car-hire deal when they reach their destination.
But Hertz is also expected to profit heavily from the deal.
"Over the period of the deal, Ryanair will grow faster than any other major European airline, enabling Hertz to more than double its sales with us as we double our passenger numbers from 35 million this year to 70 million passengers per annum in 2012," said Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary.
Ryanair is Europe's largest low-cost airline and is also Hertz's biggest partner.
