Ryanair launches free seat sale
Ryanair has announced that it is giving away four million seats free of charge on flights to all destinations.
The low-cost airline will offer the free flights to passengers who book early, with the offer expiring at midnight on Monday 12 September.
However, passengers will still have to pay additional taxes, fees and charges imposed by airports on their tickets.
At present, passengers departing on Ryanair flights from London Stansted are liable to pay £14.68.
Other UK airports charge varying rates, ranging from £11.98 to £13.98.
The offer follows passenger figures for August showing that, for the first time, more passengers flew with Ryanair than with British Airways.
In total, 3.26 million passengers flew with the airline last month, with over 35 million expected to do so this year.
