New Tunisia link for northern Jet2.com bases
September 8, 2009Jet2.com is opening up links to the Tunisian resort of Monastir from three of its northern bases.
The low-cost carrier will be operating the flights from Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle airports as part of its summer 2010 schedule, which starts in May.
Fares start from £69.99 one-way, including taxes, giving travellers an affordable way of experiencing some of north Africa's most impressive archaeological sites.
Monastir is also a popular destination for sport enthusiasts, boasting an array of first-class golf courses as well as scuba diving retreats in the Mediterranean.
Commenting on the new routes, Jet2.com Chief Executive Officer Philip Meeson said: "We are committed to offering people in the north an unrivalled choice of routes to fantastic sunshine holiday destinations at friendly departure times.
"The launch of this new service to Tunisia means that people living in and around the north-west, Yorkshire and north-east can get even further afield from their local airport."
Leeds Bradford Airport will begin operating the route on May 23, 2010, while Manchester will launch the connection on May 29 and Newcastle on June 27.
