Jet2.com boosts Manchester to Tel Aviv link
June 29, 2009 Jet2.com is doubling the frequency of its Manchester Airport to Tel Aviv service during key dates in the winter schedule, TravelMole reports.
The low-cost carrier will be operating an additional weekly flight from December 21 to January 4, and then again from March 22 to April 26.
It credited overwhelming demand for the boosted frequency, which is being announced less than two months after the connection was launched.
"As the only airline to offer a great value, direct service from the north to Tel Aviv, we are delighted to see this route going from strength to strength," affirmed Jet2.com Chief Executive Philip Meeson.
"We always listen closely to our customers and the feedback that we have received from our Tel Aviv passengers is that they want even more choice when it comes to travelling to Israel at key times."
Strong demand for flights to Tel Aviv was also recorded at London Heathrow earlier in the year, prompting bmi to double the frequency of its daily connection.
