EasyJet adds new routes from Liverpool Airport
June 4, 2009 Three new routes operated by easyJet have been launched following the low-cost carrier's delivery of a ninth plane to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Services to Naples, Dubrovnik and Bordeaux all took to the skies this week after the airline added an additional Airbus 320 to its fleet at the regional airport.
The £20 million plane will bring to 21 the total number of routes easyJet offers at the base.
Peel Airports spokesperson Neil Pakey said that the new connections – never before been available at Liverpool Airport – would be welcomed by travellers.
"The new easyJet routes will give passengers even more destinations to choose from this summer, adding Croatia to the list of countries we now serve and expanding our list of destinations in France and Italy," he commented in a press release.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is currently easyJet's busiest UK base outside of London, where it has a presence at Stansted, Gatwick and Luton airports.
