June 30, 2009Bmi Regional has boosted capacity on its services from Leeds Bradford Airport to Glasgow and Edinburgh during the peak summer season.
As of yesterday (June 29), the low-cost carrier has been operating twice daily connections between the two Scottish airports and its Yorkshire base.
The new timetable enables business travellers to enjoy a full working day in Leeds, with Edinburgh flights departing at 7am and Glasgow services at 7.10am.
A larger aircraft is also being operated on the Glasgow connection, boosting capacity by approximately one third on the popular business route.
"The new schedule for our Scotland to Leeds Bradford route and the increased capacity on flights out of Glasgow reflects our commitment to key business destinations within the UK," commented Peter Kenworthy, commercial director of bmi regional.
"We strive to provide business and leisure travellers with the best possible level of service and added benefits to ensure a hassle-free and rewarding journey for all of our customers."
Earlier this year, bmi regional announced that it is opening up another new Scottish connection, linking Birmingham Airport to Aberdeen Airport.
