Air Southwest launches new London City links
April 22, 2009Regional carrier Air Southwest is celebrating the launch of two new twice-daily services from Newquay and Plymouth to London City Airport.
Fares on the routes start from as little as £29 one-way, with more than 5,000 seats being snapped up since they were announced just a few weeks ago.
The new flights run twice a day on weekdays and once a day on Sunday, and are being operated by the carrier's fuel efficient Dash 8-300 planes.
Air Southwest Managing Director Peter Davies said they are ideally suited to business travellers, with early morning departures enabling a full working day in the capital.
"We've had enormous support from the region's business community," he beamed. "London City Airport is entirely geared to the needs of the business traveller and we're delighted to be offering such a fast and efficient service direct into the capital."
Outbound Newquay flights depart at 7.30am and 4.50pm, with the return services taking off from London City at 9.40am and 7.05pm. Plymouth departures run half-an-hour later.
