Plymouth to London service unveiled
March 9, 2009Air Southwest has announced the start of a new service from Plymouth Airport to London City Airport from April 20, 2009.
The regional airline has unveiled the twice-daily schedule, which will retail from as little as £29 one-way, including all taxes, fees and surcharges.
Passengers will be allowed to check in just 20 minutes before flights departing Plymouth and 15 minutes before those leaving London City.
Peter Davies, managing director of Air Southwest, suggested that the introduction of these flights will "revolutionise air travel between Plymouth and the capital". He said: "Day-return rail travel to the capital is costly and time-consuming. We expect it to be hugely popular with business travellers and have timed the flights to fit with busy working lives."
City Airport is located in the financial district of the UK's capital, just minutes away from Canary Wharf and six miles away from central London.
