Air Southwest to help boost Newquay tourism
March 12, 2009Air Southwest has teamed up with Tourism Newquay and visitnewquay.org in a bid to boost the number of people visiting the popular Cornish destination.
The new initiative will see the airline work together with the organisations to create an initiative that will hopefully encourage more tourists to travel to Newquay.
A number of promotional events will take place around the UK in locations such as Newcastle.
The 'Taste Newquay Roadshow' will give people the chance to experience food which is sourced locally from Newquay and to partake in various competitions.
Those who enter will have the chance to win free flights to Newquay as well as free accommodation.
Richard Wilcox, business development manager at Tourism Newquay, commented: "Air Southwest fits perfectly with what we are all about and it's great news that we can work together on some really innovative and exciting campaigns to raise the profile of Newquay across the UK."
