Bmibaby reveals Newquay service
February 16, 2009Bmibaby has announced that it will operate a summer service from Birmingham International Airport to Newquay Airport.
Scheduled to commence on May 22, 2009, the four-times-a-week service will fly on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until September 20, 2009.
Economy-class fares will begin from just £13.99 one-way, including all taxes, fees and surcharges. Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, believes that the Cornish sea-side town "offers something for everyone".
He said: "This destination is currently not served by any other airline from Birmingham, so by launching this new service we are offering customers a unique summer destination at fantastically low fares."
Newquay Airport is close to the city of Truro and can handle close to half a million passengers annually.
A number of other airlines, including Jet.com and Ryanair, will commence operations from the aviation hub this summer to a number of domestic and European destinations.
