Bmi adds Kiev flights
February 25, 2009Bmi has announced that it will begin operating flights to Ukraine's capital from March 29, 2009.
The regional airline, formally known as British Midland, has introduced the five times a week service to Kiev to its summer schedule.
Operating out of London Heathrow Airport's Terminal 1, fares begin at £203 for economy class and rise to £649 for business passengers.
Peter Spencer, managing director of bmi, said: "In the tough business climate that we are operating in, we recognise the importance of both value for money and time for our customers."
This addition follows bmi's announcement earlier this month that it would be doubling its services to the Saudi Arabian destination of Riyadh to six a week and its flights to Tel Aviv to two a day.
Bmi, which was taken over by Lufthansa in October 2008, currently serves a number of international destinations, including those in North America, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa.
