Wizz Air launches Luton to Ukraine flights
January 14, 2009Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new service to the Ukraine from London Luton Airport.
The low-cost carrier, which is a subsidiary of the main Wizz Air group, has begun operations to the city of Lviv, located in the western part of the Ukraine, from the regional airport.
Passengers can benefit from four weekly services to the destination, alongside the four routes a week operated to Kiev, which were launched by the airline in December 2008.
Natalie Raper, Luton Airport's marketing director, said: "We are delighted to make the Ukraine as accessible as any other European country to many millions of travellers and look forward to working closely with Wizz Air on the development of further new routes."
London Luton Airport handled nearly ten million passengers in 2007, making it one of the UK's fastest growing airports.
