Weekly round-up
January 2, 2009Post-Christmas blues failed to reach the aviation industry this week, as a number of airlines unveiled their January sales.
Ryanair announced discounts on one million seats, Monarch Airlines offered £30 reductions on selected routes, Virgin Atlantic reduced fares on Caribbean and African services and bmi offered business travellers cheap flights.
However, it was a quieter week for the announcement of new routes as the festive break signalled a suspension of hostilities between competing carriers.
