Jet2 named UK's best low-cost airline
November 28, 2008Jet2 has been voted the UK's best low-cost airline in the Daily Telegraph's annual travel awards.
The budget operator secured second place in the Best Low Cost Airline category of the Telegraph travel awards, behind the German carrier Air Berlin.
This announcement ensured Jet2's position as the UK's favourite low cost airline among UK consumers - after being named the country's best short-haul airline by the readers of the Guardian last month.
The awards are the result of Britain's biggest travel survey, with the newspaper group polling more than 25,000 people to reveal their spending habits, favourite destinations and top operators.
Jet2 currently operates services from six UK airports to more than 40 European destinations and flew close to four million people in 2007.
