Wizz Air adds Luton connections to Ukraine
October 14, 2008Wizz Air is launching new services from London Luton Airport to two popular destinations in Ukraine.
The low-cost carrier has confirmed that it will open up a new link between the UK base and western city of Lviv, operating the service four times a week from January 15.
That addition comes alongside a new connection from Luton to capital city Kiev, which will also initially be operated four times a week beginning December 17.
Wizz Air will then boost the frequency of its Kiev Boryspil service on March 28, running daily flights between the two airports.
Both connections will be served by the carrier's new fleet of energy-efficient Airbus A380 aircraft. One-way fares start from just £29, excluding air passenger duty charges.
"We are extremely pleased to make Ukraine just as accessible as any other European country to many millions of European travellers," commented Wizz Air spokesperson Natasa Kazmer.
She added: "Ukrainian passengers responded very well to Wizz Air's low fares and service standards on our domestic services and they were long looking forward to our international flights."

Are you sure it is an a380-fleet they are using? I don't think WizzAir has ordered any A380s.

Wow, an A380 from Luton! Awesome! And all this time I was thinking I'd have to fly Emirates, Qantas, or Singapore from LHR.

A380? At Luton? Good luck with that.

Apologies for the error. We should have had A320, rather than A380.
