Virgin cuts Upper Class check-in time to 40 minutes
October 3, 2008Virgin Atlantic has reduced the check-in time for Upper Class passengers at Heathrow Terminal 3 to just 40 minutes.
The upgraded system means that premium fare passengers can minimise the amount of time spent at the airport, being fast-tracked straight to their gate.
The check-in time is even quicker than at T5 and has been made possible by the airline's new private security corridor.
Steve Ridgway, chief executive of Virgin Atlantic, said that the new enhanced service would boost flexibility for travellers "whether they are heading off on a business trip or just running late after a busy day in the office".
He added: "This vastly superior experience has been made possible by the introduction of our award winning Upper Class Wing, which was launched in November last year and allows passengers to get from check in and through security within minutes."
Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class Wing was voted World's Fastest Airport Check In at this year's Wallpaper Awards.
