Greek carrier boosts Stansted services
October 6, 2008
Aegean Airlines (website: www.aegeanair.com) has confirmed that it is adding a third daily connection from London Stansted to Athens.
The Greek carrier is boosting the frequency of the service on December 15, introducing a new flight that departs from Stansted at 3.50pm and touches down in the Greek capital at 9.35pm.
The expanded schedule is intended to enhance the range of connections on offer to British holidaymakers wishing to travel to one of Aegean's 15 onward destinations in Greece.
Alongside the extra London flight, the carrier is launching a daily service connecting Athens to the French capital Paris as part of its new focus on major European cities.
That service will take to the skies on November 12, departing from Athens at 10.40am and arriving back from Charles de Gaulle at 2.05pm. A second daily flight will be added in March 2009.
Finally, the carrier is also extending its reach into the German market with the launch of a five-times weekly direct service between Athens and the western city of Düsseldorf.
