Air Southwest aims to boost Jersey popularity
September 30, 2008
Air Southwest is planning to use a new campaign to improve the popularity of Jersey as a tourist destination.
Working in conjunction with Jersey Tourism, the airline will use "high-profile advertising" to promote the island during autumn and winter.
The promotion will take place from now until the start of November, the carrier has revealed.
Noting that the current economic climate is making more people choose holiday destinations which are closer to home, Mike Coombes, deputy chief executive of Air Southwest, highlighted the benefits of visiting Jersey.
He said: "Jersey is an ideal destination and great value throughout all four seasons.
"Jersey has some of the best quality accommodation in the UK and is attracting people year round."
Mike Tait from Jersey Tourism said that the organisation is really pleased to be working together with Air Southwest on the campaign.
"We're confident it will lead to an increase in visitors to the island, particularly in the short break market," he added.
