Winter flights transferred to Grenoble
June 9, 2008Air Southwest has announced its winter ski flights this coming season will now operate to Grenoble Airport, after the authorities at Chambery Airport said there could be congestion problems.
The new flights to Grenoble will be moved to an earlier time, making the new schedule more convenient for skiers transferring to and from the resorts, and the airport is less prone to flight delays during the busy ski season.
Any customers affected by the change of destination airport will be contacted individually by Air Southwest to arrange amendment of their bookings and measures have also been put in place should travellers have booked car hire.
Three ski regions are within close proximity to Grenoble; Isere for Les Deux Alpes and Alpe D'Huez, Savoie for La Plagne, Val Thorens and Meribel and Haute-Savoie for Morzine and Chamonix.
