Manchester to London code-share for JAL
June 6, 2008Japan Airlines (JAL) has begun twice-daily code-share services operated by BA between Manchester and London Heathrow.
The new agreement will see JAL expand its UK presence, offering more British passengers onward connections to its key Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai routes.
Outbound Manchester flights depart at 1.30pm and 3.30pm each day, with the return services leaving Heathrow at 4.45pm and 7.40pm. Flying time between the two cities is approximately one hour.
JAL now offers direct and connecting services to 26 Europeans cities, including Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest, Copenhagen, Milan, Moscow, Oslo, Rome, Paris, Prague and Warsaw.
The carrier is a member of the oneworld airline alliance and had already runs code-shared flights operated by BA between London Heathrow and Hamburg, Stuttgart, Vienna and Zurich.
