Winter schedule announced by Aer Lingus

Irish carrier Aer Lingus has announced its winter schedule from Cork Airport.

Winter flights to Cork went on sale yesterday (May 21) and passengers can travel to a variety of destinations such as Tenerife, Lanzarote and Malaga

The schedule also includes the addition of a new service to Geneva which Aer Lingus will begin operating in early December this year.

In addition the airline will be extending its service to Faro, flying to the Portuguese city until the end of November.

This brings to 18 the number of routes operated by the airline from Cork.

Enda Corneille, corporate affairs director for Aer Lingus, said that the airline was very pleased with the number of routes its now offers to passengers.

She said: "We are delighted to extend our offering, giving customers greater choice of destination, quality service and creating new links in inbound tourism all of which is enhancing our customer base from Cork."

Aer Lingus has increased its capacity from Cork Airport by 70 per cent in the last six years.
