New summer sun routes from easyJet
May 2, 2008EasyJet has launched a number of new routes from Manchester and London Gatwick airports.
The low-cost carrier yesterday launched a Malaga service from Manchester, and will also begin flying to the Greek island of Crete from the airport as of today (May 2).
New London Gatwick services include a daily link to the southern French city of Montpellier, beginning today, and a twice-weekly connection to Mykonos which was launched yesterday.
From May 4, the no-frills carrier will also be operating Sunday flights to Ajaccio and Bastia in Corsica.
Spokesman David Osborne said that the airline "has seen a huge increase in flights to summer sun destinations this year".
EasyJet recently announced that it expects to carry 123,000 passengers on its new Manchester routes in the next 12 months.
