Zoom announces new US routes from Gatwick
February 12, 2008
Zoom Airlines has announced plans to offer two new direct routes to US destinations from London Gatwick Airport.
From May 2008 the Canadian airline will be operating flights to Fort Lauderdale in Florida, with a new service to the Californian city of San Diego to be launched in June.
Flights to Fort Lauderdale will depart from Gatwick twice-weekly, on Thursday and Sunday, with return fares available from £399, including taxes and charges.
The San Diego service will also operate twice-weekly, leaving Gatwick on Monday and Friday and offering return fares from £449, including taxes and charges.
Commenting on the new San Diego route, Zoom co-owner John Boyle said: "This new route confirms our commitment to offering customers lower airfares across the Atlantic."
"Direct non-stop flights to San Diego will offer a convenient low-fare service from London which allows customers to avoid the need to change planes en route."
Zoom currently offers flights from Gatwick to a number of destinations in North America, including New York, Toronto and Montreal.
