New CityJet route from Shannon to Paris CDG

Air France/CityJet is to start a new route between Shannon Airport in the west of Ireland to Paris.

The twice daily service to Paris Charles De Gaulle will begin on February 4, 2008, linking Shannon to the 248 Air France and KLM destinations that are offered from the French capital's main airport, and the SkyTeam alliance's 841 cities.

Flight times have been coordinated so that passengers can connect with onward international flights in as little as 45 minutes.

"Over the past few months the business community sought to have a service that will provide them and their customers with connectivity to and from key destinations throughout the world," said Irish transport minister Noel Dempsey.

"I believe that CityJet and Air France are not only meeting that requirement, but exceeding it by giving them a business-quality service and access to over 800 destinations throughout the world."

CityJet is an Irish subsidiary of Air France, and also offers flights seven daily flights from Dublin to Paris, and six daily flights from Dublin to London City Airport.
