Inverness gets summer link to Jersey
December 18, 2007Holidaymakers will be able to fly direct from Inverness Airport to Jersey this summer when charter company C. I. Travel Holdings launches flights to the island.
A weekly service, operating on Saturday, will start on June 28, with the last departure to Jersey flying from Inverness in mid-September.
Peter Drew, managing director of C. I. Travel Holdings, said: "We’re delighted that we will be making it possible for the people of the Highlands to enjoy a holiday in one of the most unspoiled European holiday destinations which offers a unique blend of British and French influences."
Special introductory package deals will be available, for example seven nights B&B from £299 per person, but people will also have the choice of booking flight only tickets starting from £199, which includes baggage charges and taxes.
Inverness Airport's manager James Walton welcomed the launch of the route and hoped it would prove a popular choice with local people wanting to fly direct from Inverness.
