MAXjet cuts Washington service, but extends others
October 10, 2007MAXjet is to boost its services from London Stansted to New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but is scrapping its flights to Washington.
The airline, which offers business class seats only at relatively cheap prices, will add a new Saturday flight from Stansted to New York JFK on October 20. As well as this, it will add second daily flights on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays from March 1, 2008, taking the total number of weekly flights to the Big Apple up from seven to ten.
On the Las Vegas route, a new Wednesday service will be added on December 5, followed by a sixth weekly flight from February 15, 2008.
On the Los Angeles route, a new frequency on Wednesdays will take the total number of weekly flights to five.
Meanwhile, flights between Stansted and Washington Dulles will end on October 29. Passengers with forward bookings will be accommodated by the airline.
MAXjet chief executive Bill Stockbridge said: "Our customers have made it clear to us that they need more frequent service between London Stansted and Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York.
"As a young airline, the key to our future success is to focus on providing the service our growing base of mass affluent customers expect at the standard of excellence they deserve."
