Return of Gatwick to Knock route
September 28, 2007XL Airways is to operate scheduled flights between Gatwick and Ireland West Airport Knock starting December 14, resurrecting a route once served by Ryanair and easyJet.
Flights will operate six days a week, with one-way tickets starting from £19, and from May 2008 the flight will operate seven days a week. The launch also marks the travel company’s first scheduled service to Ireland.
Martin Lock, managing director of XL.com, said: "We introduced the Gatwick-Knock route as a response to huge customer demand following other airlines pulling out last year. Gatwick is London’s main leisure airport and is only 30 minutes away from Central London on the Gatwick Express, so getting to Knock has never been easier."
