New Manchester to Stansted route launched
September 19, 2007Eastern Airways is to begin a new service between Manchester Airport and Stansted, with the first flight taking off on October 29.
The airline will be taking over the operation of the route from Air Berlin, but will increase the frequency of flights to offer three a day during the working week, with a timetable set to appeal to business customers.
Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways’ chief operating officer, said: "This announcement is great news for travellers in the North of England as we are not only ensuring a continuation of this important link, but are providing an enhanced schedule with greater flexibility for business and leisure travellers.
"The convenience of our early 7.15am departure from Manchester will ensure business passengers can maximise their day in the South East."
Eastern Airways has operated from Manchester Airport since 2003, including offering flights to Stansted up until 2006; the return of this link to the south joins the airline's existing service to Inverness.
