Wizz Air increases flights to Hungary and Romania
July 10, 2007Wizz Air has announced an increase in the frequency of its flights from London to Hungary and Romania.
The airline will begin offering nine weekly flights from London Luton to the Hungarian capital Budapest, representing an increase in capacity of 12.5 per cent.
This is part of a general expansion at the Hungarian capital, whereby Wizz Air will also begin flights to Milan (Bergamo) and also increase the frequency on Rome, Paris and Eindhoven routes.
Flights from London Luton to the Romanian capital Bucharest will begin operating daily, which is an increase of 133 per cent.
Wizz Air is also set to open a new base at Poznan in Poland in January 2008, with the promise of new routes.
The airline is a Polish/Hungarian operation with its main base in Katowice (Poland). It flies mainly to eastern European destinations from Luton, Stansted, Bournemouth, Coventry, Liverpool, Doncaster Sheffield, Durham Tees Valley, Glasgow Prestwick, Belfast and Cork.
