Flyglobespan extends winter flight options from Scotland
May 24, 2007Low-cost airline Flyglobespan has added flights to Sharm el-Sheikh from Glasgow and Edinburgh as part of its winter sun programme.
Scottish travellers will be able to fly to the Egyptian resort from £174.99 one-way (including taxes), as part of a winter programme that also includes destinations in the US and Europe.
Flights to Sharm el-Sheikh will operate on Wednesdays, from November 2007 until March 2008.
Also from November, the airline's winter service between Glasgow and Orlando will begin again, with prices starting at £199 (plus taxes). Flights will operate twice a week to Orlando Sanford Airport - one of the airline's most popular destinations.
Closer to home, Flyglobespan will operate daily flights from both Edinburgh and Glasgow to Alicante, Malaga and Barcelona (Barcelona route is four times weekly from Edinburgh) this winter.
Tickets for these Spanish routes are on sale now at www.flyglobespan.com, with prices beginning at £31.99 one-way.
Airline chairman Tom Dalrymple also hinted that more Scottish routes were on the way.
"I am delighted that we are continuing to grow our programme from Scotland and look forward to continuing that expansion," he said.
