Virgin announces spring Upper Class sale
February 19, 2007A spring Upper Class sale has this week been unveiled by Virgin Atlantic, with up to 40 per cent off flights to a variety of destinations.
The offer, which expires at 10pm on March 8, includes return travel to New York from £1,349, between April 1 and April 9. Customers can also get hold of return flights to Boston for the same price and between the same dates.
Shanghai has also been included in the new deal, with flights between March 27 and April 7 costing as little as £1,687. All of these prices include taxes.
Virgin's legendary Upper Class experience begins at the London Heathrow Clubhouse, where passengers can make the most of a business area, library, cocktail bar and beauty salon.
There is also a multi-screen cinema and a rooftop garden, allowing passengers to lap up the luxury in the hours preceding the flight.
Once onboard the plane, customers can enjoy a couple of drinks from the bar and relax with the help of a professional massage. The fully flat beds in the Upper Class Suite then provide perfect conditions for a sleep during the journey.
Virgin, headed by Sir Richard Branson, is also running a deal for members of its Flying Club programme. Those flying premium economy before the end of March will be able to receive 50 per cent more Flying Club miles, which some are collecting to fund a trip into orbit in 2008.
