Promise of a long weekend in Kazakhstan
December 12, 2006
Kazakhstan’s national airline is to increase the frequency of flights it offers to the UK.
Air Astana is to offer a Thursday departure between London Heathrow and the Kazakh capital Astana, in addition to its existing Tuesday and Saturday flights.
The third weekly flight is set to start on January 25 and the airline's regional manager Richard Ledger told the Travel Mole website the new flights meant passengers could enjoy a long weekend in Kazakhstan.
Air Astana began operations in 2002 and is a joint venture between the government of Kazakhstan and BAE Systems, its route network extends to 25 domestic and 17 international destinations.
