Milton Keynes to Luton ExpressCoach relaunched

A new fast coach service linking Milton Keynes with Luton Airport has been relaunched. Virgin Trains and Stagecoach have jointly launched the ExpressCoach service, which will run between Milton Keynes railway station and Luton Airport every hour.

Journey times are approximately one hour and the service aims to offer "a hassle-free alternative for holidaymakers and business executives heading to Luton Airport". Tickets can be bought on board the coaches and cost £5 one-way.

The route will be operated by six eco-friendly coaches (meeting Euro 3 emissions standards) that feature air conditioning, seatbelts and interior CCTV for added security. They are also accessible, offering an integrated lift facility for wheelchairs, operated by the driver.

Costing a total of more than £500,000, the coaches are finished in the Virgin Trains colour scheme and also call at Luton town centre and Luton railway station.

ExpressCoach services to Luton Airport also operate from Birmingham, Coventry, Liverpool, Manchester and Preston, with prices ranging from £16 to £24.
