More Chengdu flights from KLM
September 6, 2006KLM is set to increase the frequency of its flights from Amsterdam to Chengdu in central China.
The Dutch airline originally began operating scheduled flights to the Chinese city - an important economic centre in Sichuan province - at the end of May.
As a result of strong demand, KLM will increase the frequency from two return flights a week to three roundtrips from December 1.
The new flight (KL 891) will depart Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Fridays and return from Chengdu on Saturdays (KL 892). This will add to the existing Tuesday and Sunday departures from Amsterdam, which return on Wednesdays and Mondays.
Tickets for the route cost in the region of £270, excluding taxes and charges.
KLM connects to the following UK airports: Aberdeen, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Heathrow, Manchester and Newcastle.
